Dr. Katie Black

Dr. Katie believes health and healthy living is much more than living a life that is disease or symptom free. She believes that healthy living is also cultivating a life full of happiness, love and passion. It’s following our dreams, and connecting with the people around us. She is convinced nourishing our bodies is just as important as nourishing our minds and our soul.

Dr. Katie is a firm believer that each individual’s journey to health is unique, and every turn, hill, and fork in the road propels you one step closer to healthy living.
She empowers her patients by helping them recognize they posses the abilities to not only make changes but also maintain them. Sometimes all we need is a nudge (or two) in the right direction! That is why Dr. Katie takes the approach of working in partnership with her patients, so that together, they can develop a comprehensive treatment plan that works best for their lifestyle.

Dr. Katie attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) here in Toronto, where she obtained her Doctor of Naturopathy Degree. Prior to her medical training, she completed an Honors Degree in Physical Health and Education, with a concentration in Health Promotion. She is also certified to administer Advanced Cosmetic Acupuncture through the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

As a clinician, Dr. Katie is passionate about Women’s Health. She wants to ensure her patients are equipped with the tools they need to tackle the various stages of life. She maintains a strong interest in fertility and reproductive health, anti-aging and facial rejuvenation, pain management, and brain health.

Dr. Katie is an active member, in good standing, with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She is also a member of the Young Person’s Cabinet for the Women’s Brain Health Initiative where she works in collaboration with other cabinet members to help inspire millennials to take a more proactive approach to their brain health.

When Dr. Katie isn’t in the office you can find her at the gym, planning her next trip, or enjoying great wine and food with family and friends.
